Simon Whitlock has won his first ranking title for two years defeating Andy Hamilton 6-4 in the final of Sunday Players Championships at the Barnsley Metrodome.

Simon who lost in the McCoys Premier League Darts and Cash Converters World Cup Finals this year picked up his first Players Championship victory since October 2010 as he beat Andy Hamilton for the £6000.00 prize.

Michael Van Gerwen won his third Pro Tour title of 2012 as he produced a sensational performance to defeat Ian White 6-1 in the final of Saturday’s Players Championship.  He was in brilliant form as he prepares for his challenge in next weeks Party European Championship.

The European Championship is held in Muelheim, Germany 20-23 SEptember 2012.




Lewis wins German darts Master Euro Tour.

Adrian Lewis beat Ian White 6-3 in an all Stoke final to claim in the German Darts Masters title at the Glaspalast in Sindelfingen on Sunday.

Lewis claimed his first individual title since retaining the Ladbrokes World Darts Championship in January.

The world No 2 produced some brilliant darts throughout his six matches, he dropped only three legs in his first three games as he defeated Darren Johnson, Peter Hudson and Michael Mansell.

He saw off Tony West 6-3 in the quarter finals, overcame James Wade, the world No 3 and went onto beat Ian White 6-3 in the final to claim his 15K prize money.


2013 PDC Calendar released.

The PDC has released its calendar dates for 2013.

Over 5 million pounds in prize money will be on offer throughout the year.

There will be 39 ranking tournaments, with all the major televised events plus the 18 Players Championships, 8 UK Open qualifiers and 7 European Tour events being held on the PDC Pro Tour.

It will be definitely be another good year of darts – we look forward to it.
